Joe Galbraith (Artist Profile)
Joe Galbraith is a Professional Artist from Newry and Mourne. He specialises in painting stunning contemporary and vibrant landscapes, using mixed media mediums and techniques. His work includes the addition of gold leaf embellishments and/or impasto mark making. His paintings are inspired by the beautiful scenery and surroundings in the Isle of Ireland and adds in a contempoary twist to his work. Whether its bright and vibrant colours, or dark and moody scenes, each piece is unique.
Joe has appeared TV programmes such as Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year and painted both the Eden Project in Cornwall and Strangford Lough in County Down. He also won Feile An Phobail Landscape Arist of the year 2025 after part taking in a live 4hr painting challenge against 10 other short-listed artists and painted the beautiful Divis Mountain in NI. In addition to painting vibrant landscapes, he also paints portraits (human and pets).
Joe attends various Artisan Markets across NI, selling his paintings and fine art reproductions of his work. He also organises monthly painting workshops in Newry, is a live wedding painter, pet portrait artist and sells his work in various retail outlets in NI.
